URGENT ACTION NEEDED ON SENATE HEALTHCARE BILL

APA CEO Dr. Arthur Evans says the proposed Senate healthcare bill would drastically cut Medicaid, which would be devastating for the mental health community. Medicaid currently covers 25% of all financing for mental health services and 21% for substance use. It seeks to remove requirements that plans cover an essential benefit package – including mental health coverage. Click here to hear Dr. Evans’ message.
